Hood County Counseling Center offers many different type of Court ordered counseling such as Individual counseling, Anger Managment, Parenting Classes, supervised visitation, and Offender Programs (MIP, DWI, DOEP).
These different areas are designed to fulfill the requirements of probation, divorce, custody, and offender.
The classes are conducted in a safe and comfortable enviorment for the explortation of elements of anger and the use of therapeutic interventions to reduce anger responses and adapt healthy coping skills. This program uses power point presentations, shared discussion, and the practice of specific skills to maximize personal control and to learn to constructively manage anger to promote a more healthier emotional well-being.
After completion of the course a certificate of training with be issued to each participant.
Parenting classes (individual/group) are designed to meet the court requirement for divorce parents and those involved in the child protective system or having difficulty with the discipline of children and adolescents. The course will address sensitive issues related to divorce families or families in transition with emphasis on strengthing the foundation of family life through positive parenting techniques and enhance the effectiviness as parents to improve the well-being of the family unit. The curriculum promotes the use of positive interventions to increase child's potential for individual growth, strong self esteem based on child's developmental age. After completion of course, a certificate of training is provided to each participant.
Hood County Counseling Center offers a secure location to meet the needs of the court of ordered supervised visitation. These visits are conducted based on court recommendations, in an unbiased enviornment, and the well-being of the child is our primary priority. Payment for these services are due in advance, by cash or credit card only.
